On August 12nd, 2023, the GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Centre (GreenViet) in collaboration with the GSI Institute (Germany) will organize a fundraising “the Co Tu conserve the forests” concert in Hoa Bac commune, Da Nang City with the aim of of restoring native forests in Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city; protecting the environment and ecology of Da Nang city; reducing the rate of natural disasters and floods thanks to forest restoration native to the Hoa Bac watershed forest.
This event is the opening activity to raise funds for the “Bring the forest back to life” Program. The program aims to raise funds to support the Co Tu community in Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city to plant and restore 60,000 large timber trees (equivalent to 50 hectares of native forest) which is aimed at managing sustainable, multifunctional and resilient forests.
The concert is estimated to have 100 participants immersing themselves in the nature of Hoa Bac mountains and forests, including government representatives; Project management; Enterprises; Co Tu community; Press news agency; Community audience.

To travel along with the melodies of jazz from the artists of Hat Jazz band
In particular, the participation of businesses committing to accompany the Conservation Fund Project will also be a highlight at the event. This is also an opportunity for businesses to demonstrate their role and responsibility to the community through biodiversity conservation and sustainable environmental protection projects.
The fundraising concert “The Co Tu conserve the forests” is part of the 4th fundraising communication campaign of the Conservation Fund Project. This project is implemented by GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Centre (GreenViet, Vietnam) – the lead and Gustav-Stresemann-Institut (GSI, Germany) and co-funded by the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam.
